ICAM and Dalian Machine Tool Group Sign Strategic Marketing Agreement
ICAM Technologies Corporation entered into a Strategic Marketing Agreement with Dalian Machine Tool Group (DMTG), China's largest machine tool builder. The main purpose of this agreement is to assure the accurate integration of ICAM's NC post-processing and machine tool simulation solution with advanced Dalian machine tools.

ICAM Partners with SIEMENS for CE / VNCK Integration
ICAM Technologies Corporation has partnered with SIEMENS Energy & Automation Inc. for the successful integration of ICAM Control EmulatorTM (CE) with SIEMENS' Virtual NC Kernel (VNCK). SIEMENS VNCK deployed in conjunction with ICAM CE allows for the simulation of advanced features and functionalities of the SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840D controller.

ICAM Releases Virtual Machine V17 Supporting Mill / Turn Centers
ICAM Technologies Corporation released Virtual Machine® V17, the latest version of its integrated graphical machine tool simulation / NC post-processing solution. Virtual Machine V17 features all the necessary software components to fully support Mill / Turn centers including the ability to synchronize dual turret merging lathes, the capacity to accurately simulate constant surface speed as well as the provision to define and model lathe tool inserts and generic 3D tool holders.

ICAM Releases Control Emulator for MCD-Based Machine Tool Simulation
ICAM Technologies Corporation released Control EmulatorTM (CE), a new software product allowing NC programmers to simulate and test NC programs using Machine Code Data (MCD) within the CATIA V5 / DELMIA environment. As compared to traditional APT-based verification systems, which simulate the programmer's planned tool path, CE provides a more meaningful simulation that represents how the machine tool will react to the MCD output generated by the post-processor.

2006
ICAM released CAM-POST V17, the latest version of its advanced independent single source NC post-processing development, management and deployment technology supporting all major CAD / CAM / PLM systems, CNC controllers and machine tools. Superior forward-looking optimization features are offered in CAM-POST V17 including path planning, rotary axes pre-positioning and winding to optimize machining while avoiding dwell marks, over-traveling and rotary repositioning.

Other CAM-POST V17 enhancements include support for multiple operating systems for full cross-platform compatibility, a new configuration utility that simplifies setup and maintenance of CAM-POST, direct access to the post-processor database from GENER, new Rapid Positioning Tool-tip Linearization and extensive context-sensitive on-line help from the Macro Editor.

2005
Airbus employed the latest release of the CAM-POST Sinumerik 840D CNC post-processor for its Airbus A380 Initiative. The advanced model is a five-axes mill post-processor, specifically designed for the aerospace industry, permitting tangential arc fitting, NURBS (non-uniform rational B-splines) fitting and interpolation, CIP (circular interpolation) oblique circular interpolation and standard canned cycles.

It supports RTCP point programming based on the 840D TRAORI (transformation orientation) function and local co-ordinates system programming. A key function is the support of the 840D customizable HSM (high-speed machining) feature, based on the Sinumerik CYCLE832.

2004
ICAM launches CAM-POST Version 16- Enhanced installation and security features, improved QUEST & GENER interfaces and the support of new CAM systems are among the improvements offered in CAM-POST V.16.

2003
CAM-POST V-15 introduced a new Windows styled interface, Advanced 5D Machining specifications, and a new user customizable Dialog Editor, as well as over 100 improvements and enhancements. In addition ICAM's new graphic simulation solution Virtual Machine is fully integrated into CAM-POST V-15 as a licensed option.

2002
Virtual Machine released in 2002 unites ICAM's advanced NC Post-Processing software CAM-POST with graphical machine tool simulation to create a single integrated solution... Graphic NC Post-Processing.

2001
ICAM launches CAM-POST 2001. CAM-POST 2001 introduced of a fully automated Coordinate Frame Transformation feature, which enables the use of 2½ D cycles and controller feature on canted surfaces.

2000
CAM-POST 2000 introduced a powerful graphical user interface tool called The Wizard, which allows users with all levels of expertise to create an unlimited number of NC Post-processors in record time.

1999
CAM-POST Version 12.0 is released, with enhanced support for High Speed Machining, Y2K compliance, expanded expert system, more NURBS fitting, tangential arc fitting, and LINTOL rotary turnaround.

1997
CAM-POST Version 11.0 is released, incorporating an entirely new window front-end, which made it easier to use both the GENER and QUEST features. This allowed the user to actually create his own post processing solution.

1993 - 1996
The windows-like environment took shape with such additions as full mouse support, multi-language support, and a library of basic post-processors. ICAM created and developed ARC fitting, various CAD/CAM interface kits, on-line documentation, and support for Windows NT, Windows 3.1, Windows 95. ICAM further introduced an entirely new NC post development concept tool called Rapid Macro Development (RMD), a High Speed Machining functionality, DMIS support, and three-dimensional cutter compensation.

1991
The development of the revolutionary motion post-processor was incorporated, as well as the support for Mill/Turn centers, Wire EDM, and Punch Presses were added to CAM-POST.

1987
The development of new macro languages and the first support of 4-axis lathes for CAM-POST.

1983
The first commercial version of ICAM's post-processor development tool CAM-POST is released. CAM-POST operated on VAX/VMS platforms and supported the most common machine controls, including full five-axis machines.

ICAM’s success can also be attributed to the company’s focus on customer service and support. Where and when a client has had special needs, ICAM has always positioned the challenge as an opportunity to develop new solutions, thus staying ahead of shifts in the market. ICAM remains committed to working with Machine Tool and Control manufacturers, as well as CAD/CAM companies to develop new leading edge products and ISO standards whenever possible.
